HISTORY AND ACHIEVEMENTS


Established in 2002 on the foundation of Invest Romania Forum (set up in 1995), FORUM INVEST is the leading provider of business intelligence and networking services to the international business and finance community. The mission of the Company is to promote Romania internationally by setting up a framework for effective and productive communication between political and institutional players, on one hand, and the business milieu, on the other, both in Romania and overseas. 

The remarkable activity of FORUM INVEST through all these years was gratify in 2008, in Paris, by receiving the World Quality Commitment Award, in Gold Category. The Gala is part of the Business Initiative Directions Awards (B.I.D.), designed to recognize the prestige of the outstanding companies, organizations and businesspeople in the world.

Since its inception, FORUM INVEST has organized over 40 international business conferences and events in countries such as U.S., Canada, The Russian Federation, China, U.K., France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Greece, Turkey, Israel, United Arab Emirates or Jordan. Overall, the events have got together more than 5,500 political and economical decision-makers and over 850 international journalists. 

We pride ourselves on having brought to our conferences international prominent public figures. In 2003, Suzanne Kastner, vice president of German Bundestag, attended Forum Invest Economic Summit. Two years later, in the same event, keynote speaker was Lech Walessa, Poland´s president from 1990 until 1995 and Nobel Prize Laureate for Peace.  In 2007, Erhard Busek, Austria´s vice-chancellor from 1991 until 1995 came to Bucharest to the 2nd edition of Energy in Central and Eastern Europe Conference. One year later, in 2008, four major international public figures were special guests in FORUM INVEST´s events. Cherie Blair, wife of former vice president of United Kingdom, Tony Blair, attended the 3rd edition of LeaderShe. Fifth edition of Central and South East European Financial Forum had two prominent keynote speakers: Edmund Phelps, Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry and Edmund Prescott, Nobel Prize Laureate in Economics. In 2008 also came to Bucharest Kary Mullis, Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry. Mrs. Mullis was special guest of the 3rd edition of the international HealthCare Conference. In 2009, first to open the list of international keynote speakers was Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel Prize Laureate in Economics, prim vice-chairman of The World Bank from 1997 until 2000 and Chief of Economic Counselor in Clinton Administration. Mr. Stiglitz attended 6th edition of the Central and South East European Financial Forum.
