Nelson Sam, the Global Managing Director Advisory Services, Point Carbon a Thomson Reuters will participate as moderator at Forum Invest ENERGY 2010, to take place on 22nd of November at The Royal Garden Hotel in London. Nelson will chair " FINANCING THE ENERGY PROJECTS.POLITICS, REGULATIONS AND INTERNATIONAL STRATEGIES FOR THE ENERGY MARKETS" plenary session on November 22nd.
His wide experience include successful tenures at McKinsey & Company, Ernst and Young and IRD addressing energy and climate change issues globally.
Nelson Sam has over 12 years of experience in corporate development, business consulting, transaction advisory (project financing and M&A) , stakeholder management (government and private sector), investment strategy and business analysis providing advisory services in energy and climate change across sectors (energy efficiency, renewable and offsets).
He has also advised clients both governments and private sector in the development of a low carbon strategy and in structuring of carbon finance/funds, low carbon portfolio investments.
His clients include large corporations (high energy generating, energy using companies), regional and national governments, banks, private equities & financial institution groups.
He has a doctorate degree specialising in numerical modelling weather and climate and is a life member of the Indian Meteorological Society
